To achieve the highest standards in home painting, we believe in process. Our process is built on many years of experience. We adapt to your job variables and during the consultation we communicate this thoroughly. Part of our service is to build a process to match your project.

Learn about our process

Step 01- Wash surfaces that are to be painted
Step 02- Indicate wood replacement, we physically mark these before starting replacement. The board replacements are determined during the consultation.
Step 03- Wood replacement
Step 04- Caulk open joints, this is part aesthetic and part to protect from moisture, water infiltration.
Step 05- Substrates that are peeling are to be scraped, sanded and spot primed. Primer choice will be matched to the cause and solution to the peeling.
Step 06- Tack cloth and dusting of windows, doors and columns
Step 07- All finished paint to be screened
Step 08- Finish coats applied
Step 09- Walk through and touch ups
Step 10- Windows washed
Step 11- Clean Up
ROOM PREPARATION
Step 01- Move necessary furniture
Step 02- Cover tile/hardwood with building paper
Step 03- Drop cloths to be laid out
Step 04- New plastic to be used on furniture
Step 05- Determine what wall fixtures, pictures and blinds are to be removed
Step 06- Visual inspection of any existing floor damage
PREPARATION OF SURFACE
Step 01 - Repair nail pops and broken seams
Step 02- Pole sand all walls that are to be painted. Walls to be dusted.
Step 03- Trim work to be lightly sanded (doors - base - crown -jambs)
Step 04 - Trim work to be dusted and tack clothed
Step 05- Bare wood or sheet rock to be primed
PAINTING OF SURFACE
Step 01- All finish paint to be screened
Step 02 - Finish coats to be applied
FINISH AND CLEAN UP
Step 01 - Coverings to be removed
Step 02 - Sweep floors
Step 03 - Furniture to be moved back
Step 04 - Switch plates/window treatments to be put back
Step 05- Walk through and touch up
